Various Problems That Can Interfere with Male Reproduction

Every married couple would want a baby. However, the process of having children was not all smooth sailing. There is a possibility of interference when the Egg meets the Sperm. The testes (testicles) are part of the male reproductive system with an oval shape about the size of a large olive. Testicular health must be considered by every man because the testicles play a role in the production of sperm cells that fertilize eggs in women.

On average, around 30-40% of infertility in married couples is caused by the husband. The testes are responsible for making male hormones, including testosterone, as well as producing sperm and male reproductive cells. Disorders of the testicles can lead to serious complications, including hormonal imbalances, erectile dysfunction, and infertility.

Men must have symptoms that can occur in the testicles (testicles) so that they can be treated immediately. These symptoms include:

  1. Inguinal hernia: when the lower abdominal wall weakens so that the intestine descends into the testicular sac or the side of the penis causing the testicles to appear larger. These lumps appear when doing activities such as lifting heavy objects. However, when you are lying down, it will return to normal and enter your stomach again. Hernia treatment is to perform surgery to repair the torn abdominal wall.
  2. Epididymitis: inflammation that occurs in the epididymis, which is the coiled tube located behind each testicle. It functions in the transport, storage and maturation of sperm cells produced in the testes. Epididymitis is often caused by infection or by the sexually transmitted disease chlamydia. Symptoms of epididymitis include pain and swelling in the scrotum. In severe cases, the infection can spread to other testicles that are close together, causing fever and abscess (collection of pus).
  3. Testicular torsion: The testes have a canal (spermatic cord) through which blood flows. When the duct is in an abnormal position - bent or twisted - blood flow to the testes is obstructed. This condition is called testicular torsion. The symptom is severe pain that comes on suddenly. If this occurs for several hours this will cause the testicular tissue to die. This condition is commonly experienced by adolescent boys at the age of 12-16 years.
  4. Hydrocele: a condition when the testicular sac is filled with fluid that surrounds the testicles. Usually a hydrocele doesn't harm the testicles, and it doesn't cause pain. Over time this disorder can disappear by itself. If you find that the testicles are swollen, immediately consult a doctor, especially if it occurs suddenly and is accompanied by pain.

Every man is advised to check the condition of the testicles when they want to have children, or experience the symptoms mentioned above. If problems that occur in the testes are left unchecked, they can cause serious illnesses such as hormonal imbalances, sex problems and infertility.
