What are the types of carbohydrates?
There are 3 types of carbohydrates which have their own characteristics, namely:
- Brown Carbohydrates: These carbohydrates contain polysachloride and have long molecules. Brown carbohydrates can be found in rice, cassava and potatoes. Because it has a long molecular shape, this type of carbohydrate is easily broken down by the body so that when eaten it will immediately provide energy.
- Green Carbohydrates: Green carbohydrates are usually found in fruits and vegetables. Carbohydrates of this type have molecules that are made up of linked parts, and are shaped like matted hairs. So it takes longer to solve. This can make us feel full longer so we don't get hungry easily.
- White Carbohydrates: We can generally find white carbohydrates in the sugar content.
